JBAS

Journey Beyond Aerospace Society

Engineering aerospace systems beyond the classroom.

About JBAS

Real aerospace systems, built by students.

JBAS is a student-led aerospace and engineering society focused on building real systems through hands-on engineering. Members design, build, test, and launch projects across high-altitude ballooning, amateur rocketry, and autonomous UAV development.

We exist to move beyond theory and into real engineering experience. Every project follows a complete lifecycle — from concept and design through testing, deployment, and post-mission analysis. We believe exploration and service go hand in hand, connecting technical achievement with meaningful community impact through our annual field mission in rural Guatemala.
